Accessibility

Many of the people who shop with us have been reading small print for a long time. We want Kennara to be easy to read and use for everyone, on a phone or a computer, with or without assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

Tap the “Aa” button at the top of any page and pick a size. We remember it on this device.

Your browser's zoom works too (Ctrl and + on a computer, or pinch on a phone), and the pages reflow to fit.

What we do

  • Body text starts at 18 pixels, with generous line spacing.
  • Dark text on light backgrounds, with contrast well above the 4.5:1 minimum, checked with automated tests.
  • Buttons and links are large enough to tap easily, and everything works with a keyboard alone.
  • A “Skip to content” link, clear headings, labelled forms and descriptions for images.
  • No flashing content, no timers that rush you, and nothing that plays sound by itself.
